Big Sur Coast Property Owners Association

As President of the Big Sur Coast Property Owners Association, it fell to me to help organize and manage the initial recovery effort and then participate in the long-term planning necessary to cope with two devastating fires in Big Sur over the last seven years.  After the Basin Complex Fire of 2008, Pacific Land Water & Home did a superb job of helping with the post-fire cleanup on many private properties. Once the cleanup was accomplished, they transitioned to putting their expertise to work as erosion-control experts.  Many properties benefited from their hydro-seeding and drainage efforts.

In 2013, the Pfeiffer fire burned 1,000 acres of densely populated (by Big Sur standards) residential property.  This time, knowing their capabilities, CPOA hired them to help manage the initial response.  Coordinating with County, State and Federal disaster mitigation personnel, Pacific Land Water & Home stepped into an important role as facilitator and provide boots-on-the-ground expertise when it was needed most.

I recommend them without hesitation.

Sincerely,
Butch Kronlund, President
Big Sur Coast Property Owners Association

Pacific Land and Figge Cellars were put together to jointly develop the vineyards at Carmel Valley Ranch.  I was brought in after the majority work was finished.  Pacific Land had already successfully prepped the ground, installed plants and helped oversee the irrigation installation.

I had the pleasure of helping Seth finish up the work, which included end-post installation, fence installation and some finish work of ground leveling.  All these aspects are made difficult because of hillsides and the small scale of a project such as the Ranch's vineyards.  Pacific was able to rent the right equipment for the size and terrain and get a great job done, which is reflective in the workmanship on display for all of Carmel Valley Ranch’s guests to walk through.

Knowing Pacific’s ability to see a job through to completion, regardless of the obstacles, I look forward to working with them again soon.

In 2015, acting in the role of owners representative project manager for the twelve unit Post Ranch Inn Employee Housing Project, I brought Pacific Land Water & Homes in to consult on design, to install and to maintain storm water management features, habitat restoration needs and native landscape.  Pacific's wholistic approach resulted in success across the board. Drainage and erosion control design and installation challenges were overcome resulting in highly effective and attractive native landscape features.  Pacific’s staff met our unique challenges with creative solutions and a positive attitude while staying on time and on budget.  I highly recommend Pacific.
